Trailing, Man United increased their attacks. As a result, The Red Devils got a penalty kick in the 20th minute. The penalty was given by the referee after Zirkzee was fouled by Carlos Baleba in the penalty box.
Bruno Fernandes who stepped up as the executioner did not waste the opportunity. The midfielder shot in the opposite direction of Bart Verbruggen’s movement.
Both teams traded attacks for the rest of the first half. However, no other goals were scored. The score remained 1-1.
Brighton scored again in the 55th minute. This time, Joao Pedro took advantage of a scramble in front of Andre Onana’s goal.

That goal prompted Amorim to change tactics, bringing on Alejandro Garnacho and Toby Collyer just four minutes after Brighton’s second.
